Mid-Year Momentum: Pizza Factory’s Exciting Start to 2025

pizza factory franchise

This year marks 40 years of the Pizza Factory franchise, and halfway through 2025, we’re off to a powerful start. From new ownership under Wonder Franchises, inspiring stories from our local operators, and a robust pipeline of store openings and reopenings, the first half of the year has reinforced why Pizza Factory is one of the most community-driven franchise opportunities available today.

Whether you’re a first-time owner or a seasoned entrepreneur looking to expand your portfolio, here’s how Pizza Factory is laying the foundation for long-term growth.

Pizza Factory Franchise Joins Wonder Franchises to Fuel Growth

At the beginning of 2025, Pizza Factory officially became part of the Wonder Franchises family, launching a new era for our brand. Wonder Franchises is a growing platform focused on acquiring and scaling high-quality franchisors across multiple industries. With Pizza Factory, Wonder saw an opportunity to support a legacy brand known for its strong unit economics, community-first culture, and a committed franchisee network. This partnership brings fresh resources, expanded support, and a strategic roadmap for growth while staying true to what makes Pizza Factory a beloved brand: hometown hospitality and community-driven franchise owners.

Wonder invests in stand-out businesses with proven models. “We felt like there was an opportunity to continue to just grow on what Pizza Factory already had in place,” said Adam Lewin, CEO of Wonder Franchises, in a recent interview with The Deal. “They have their own niche.” With this strategic long-term vision, Pizza Factory can expand into both new and existing markets while continuing to be the neighborhood spot franchisees and guests love.

Franchisee Spotlight: Rebuilding Community in Paradise, CA

The first half of 2025 has been filled with powerful milestones for Pizza Factory, from meaningful reopenings to inspiring franchisee stories. In Paradise, California, father-son duo Barry and Bertev Avakins opened their very own Pizza Factory, years after wildfires devastated their town. Pizza Factory Paradise’s mission to help rebuild and reconnect their community one pizza at a time reflects the heart of the brand.

This reopening is one of many milestones we’ve seen in 2025. We expanded into new communities with openings in Jackson and Lotus, California, and proudly reopened our Silver Springs, Nevada location, led by longtime franchisee and Director of Sites, Eric Lombardi. Our Suncrest, Washington location also transitioned to new ownership under experienced franchisees Steve and Sandy Anderson. These openings reflect what our brand stands for: resilience, community impact, and the power of a local pizza franchise to bring people together.

Pizza Franchise Expansion Plans for 2025 and Beyond

As we move into the second half of the year, Pizza Factory is ready to scale. With the support of Wonder Franchises and a network of passionate franchisees, we’re doubling down on our commitment to owner-operators who are ready to take charge of their futures as franchisees and serve their communities. Whether you’re looking to launch your first pizza franchise or add to your portfolio with a brand that prioritizes support and scalability, Pizza Factory offers a low-barrier, high-reward model with:

  • Flexible buildouts suited for smaller towns or urban suburbs
  • Strong brand equity with 40 years of operation
  • Hands-on training and support from day one
  • National name recognition with a local feel
